MTG now offers an additional size of the high performance “MTG SYSTEMS TWINMET” product family. The new TWINMET 3/2 maintains the typical features of the 3-part tooth system and expands the range of application possibilities for plate lip excavators.
With the new TWINMET 3/2, MTG introduces a new size to the TWINMET product family that complements the consisting sizes 5/4 and 7/6. TWINMET 3/2 has been especially designed for excavators of 350 to 500tn with plate lip, whereas the bigger TWINMET sizes remain for hydraulic excavators and draglines with cast lips. It is therefore the perfect option for those who prefer a plate lip solution for excavators such as the Caterpillar CAT6050* or KOMATSU PC4000* with more break-out-force.
As part of the TWINMET System family, it offers maximum durability, safe and easy maintenance, and self-sharpening teeth for high productivity. The new 3/2 version also features the benefits of the 3-part system, with reversible tooth and intermediate adapter, as well as the hammerless locking system based on 2 pairs of lateral pins. However, the 3/2 incorporates a weld-on adapter instead of a weld-on nose.
The TWINMET 3/2 product range offers EX, U and W tooth profiles and central and corner weld-on adapters for plate lip thicknesses of 140 and 160mm, which can be optionally supplemented by wear caps. Additionally, there is a weld-on nose available for repair purposes.
In combination with the PROMET lip and wing shroud system, MTG offers a full bucket solution for high-performance plate lip excavators.
